 Park
View will be a purpose-built residential care home, providing
the highest standard of care and five-star accommodation for
62 older persons, opening in spring 2006. It will be a two-storey
building that will be tastefully decorated to the highest
standard
with the Service User's accomodation on the ground and first
floors. |
The large bedrooms will all have en-suite facilities; with
adjoining rooms for couples, telephone/TV points and a care
call system in all rooms. There will be numerous cosy lounges,
dining rooms, bathrooms and shower rooms on both floors. The
home will have other facilities that include a hair dressing
salon, kitchen, laundry and lifts to the first floor, plus
servery area for visitors.
Outside Park View there will be patio areas
with well-planned extensive garden areas with blocked paved
walkways and seating areas with easy access for the disabled
and a large car park.
All this will create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout
the home. Family and friends will be free to visit at any
time. |

Park View has been designed to offer luxurious 5 Star accommodation
as well as the very highest of standards in care for the older
person. The individual needs of each service user are paramount
whilst ensuring that their dignity, independence and privacy
are preserved at all times.
Park View is to be located at Eastbourne Road in Darlington,
Co. Durham. It is within easy reach of local shops and bus routes
to Darlington and Stockton-on-Tees.
Activities within the home include:
- Wine and cheese nights.
- Cinema visits.
- Domino, Bingo and card competitions.
- Summer fete.
- Harvest festivals.
- Firework displays.
- Afternoon and evening entertainment, i.e. entertainers,
singers etc.
- Reminiscence activities.
- Visits to over 60s club in the community.
- Various day trips.
- Pampering days.
- Hairdressing days.
- Craft sessions.
- Church services.
- Exercise sessions.
The daily menu offers a very varied choice for residents. Our
chef and catering staff specialise in providing traditional
home cooking. To ensure that everyone's tastes or special dietary
needs are catered for, time is taken to discuss these with each service user individually.
A full laundry service is provided. However, this does not include
dry cleaning.
